Having a newborn baby is a lot of work. One of the most important parts and yet so seemingly difficult can be knowing how to wash the newborn baby clothes. Here are a few tips on how to do so.
It is important to wash newborn baby clothes before they are worn. This will give the clothes a chance to be a little cleaner before the new baby has to touch them.
Presoak the clothes that you intend on washing in a baby safe detergent. Baby safe detergent will make sure that your newborn baby clothes are being washed with detergent that is less likely to irritate your child’s skin.
After presoaking the clothes separate them by color. Presoaking them will help with stain removal and will also help get out chemicals that may still be in the clothes. Doing this before hand helps make sure that chemicals are not transferred into the wash water.
Wash each individual color with like colors. This avoids the possibility of colors bleeding together or fading. This will also reduce the wash load, which can help when you are worried about overloading a washing machine.
Line dry or tumble the clothes on low in the dryer. Some clothes are not dryer safe. Tumbling on low will make sure that the clothes that are dryer safe don’t burn in the dryer.
Washing newborn baby clothes might not be the best part of growing up but it won’t be the worst if you wash them properly.
